Oiltight gearbox by Rickard Nebrer
I have been using this for several years without any problem.
Use a bearing ( no 1 ) with a seal on the outer side ( "SKF 6206/RS1" ). Keep the seal ( no 2 ) on the outside of bearing!!.
No more leak from gearbox!!!
Oiltight gearbox by Bernd Lemper
I studied mechanical engineering at university in Germany and afterwards worked for a big
German bearing manufacturer. If you have problems with oilleaks out of the gearbox I would
suggest to use a NSK bearing with double lipped seal 6206 DU. The bearing has the same
dimensions as the 6206 ball bearing. The bearing will fit straight away.
If you want to fit a roller bearing go for a SKF NUP 206E ML or a FAG NUP 206 E M1A
or an IBC NUP 206 E M1A. With the NUP bearing you will have no feelable endfloat, only
about 60 micron(0,060 mm) so you do not have to use any shims for the gearbox shaft.
When buying a bearing go for C3 internal clearance. So you will not have any problems
in case the gearbox becomes very hot inside.
