Re: Final Drive Sprocket

The bush on the end of the cog (the one that runs in the seal) was originally a split affair, PES do a full circle bush that they ream to fit the mainshaft, got to be a better job....no doubt others do too

Re: Correct length for B25SS tank center bolt.

There are at least two different bolts. 83-2776 & 83-3042 are listed on the "Spareparts" database above. I guess for different capacity (rather than age) tanks. On the home market large tank (the only one I have experience of), the Trim Strip Holder is angled (not at right angles like the similar Tr...

Noticed that the pattern parts, the wire loop at the bottom doesn't meet the vertical part of the stay at right angles, and forms a teardrop shape rather than a circle. Not that this should affect things, but maybe a way of spotting pattern parts from factory ones. Are the Trumpet Vonniebill ones th...

Re: Hammer of the Gods - B50SS Project

The piston flying up and down is not a pump (it sucks as hard as it blows), just pressure going up and down with and average pressure of zero, where is your pressure being generated to "pump" air out of the rockerbox and primary drive? Are you fitting extra breathers to get rid of "blow-by" past the...

Just a thought, on these bikes the gap between the yokes is not fixed and there is room to increase or decrease the distance between the yokes. Its not that you have moved the yokes after fitting the wires is it? For what it is worth I have never seen or heard of the wires failing, so this is a new ...

You can use Enfield India ones, but you will need to make/modify the spacer as the case is substantially thicker, I was going down this route but then cannibalised a NOS Bantam one and swapped the gubbins round.

Beat, if you place the rings so that the patterned faces are against each other, surely they will turn and fall into each other and the stacked height will be reduced. I have little idea how the should be stacked, but not how you have them!! I would guess that the patterned face should be down on bo...

Don't think they do stainless (may be wrong) but think they traditionally fill a steel tube with sand, heat, bend and then chrome. Sounds simple in principle, but like flying a Tigermoth, easy to do, neigh on impossible to do well.
