I did mine myself with lots of questions on this site with good results and I’m no expert. My B50 is reliable and goes well you can see my restoration details on the forum the B50 is a simple motor easy to work on just take your time and do the mods recommend here.

I do like riding my 1983 T5 Guzzi for a bike this old it’s got all I need still love to B50 but a bit of a chore to ride compared to the Guzzi <216

Hi John I had the same problem with my B50 getting about 100mm overnight I tried all the usual fixers still the same I think komando advisedly check the oil pump shaft for wear the oil was escaping down the shaft and wet sumping I had the pump bushed and was fixed

Hi FGF I bought the stubby flange type manifold from the mikuni supplier I still haven’t been able to find my recipe to post jet sizes I’ll keep looking and I’ll post some photos.

Hi I have a 3 stud B50 pump that I exchanged on my bike for a re bushed one it was slowly wet sumping though the worn sharft housing so I had a spare pump machined and bushes fixed my problem.

I have a mikuni 34 mm on my B50 with MX cam and lower Goldie exhorting jetted by the Australian mikuni dealership and it starts easy and runs perfect.

Yes it’s not how hard you can kick the position is critical to the starting process I think it was Komando that gave me the right process

I bought a type of ring like a fibre Piston ring I think made of carbon fibre ( it was a long time ago) from British spares in New Zealand and seems to work well

I bought a aluminum clutch basket and aluminum cork plates with a aluminum pressure plate new heavy duty springs and it adjusts fine to wire the nuts. I would be careful using atf on the B50 the engine breaths though the primary case so engine oil mix’s with the primary oil I would check if the 2 or...
