Standard push bike cotter pin. Cheap as chips. Buy in bulk. Use them once then throw away.

Am I missing something here? The bike is not running. The primary case is filling with oil. If your primary case is filling with oil and the bile is not running. I's say it's wet sumping. How quickly does it fill with oil. If it's over a few days. Then it's wet sumping. You will not know if the scav...

Thanks for that.
Speedo cable was applying a little sideways pressure on the speedo.
Rerouted cable and now ok.
I never knew they were that sensitive.

B44 Speedo
At great expense I've just had the original speedo rebuilt on the 1967 B44 Victor. It now oscillates up and down about 20 miles an hour. I've had Tacho's and Speedo's rebuilt by this company before without any problems. So before I make a fool of myself and complain to the company that rebuilt it I ...

All good Gerry. I've been going through unread posts. Less than 200 to go and had some good laughs. But. Was due to go to the Isle of Man this year with a bit of extra travel thrown in, for about six weeks in total. Everything has been cancelled, the dollars tanked. It's costing a fortune to get par...

Spark Plugs
Hi fellow members. It would be good to know what spark plugs everyone is using in their B25's, B44's and B50's. With points or electronic ignitions. I'm currently using NGK BR8ES in both the B44 and B50 (Electronic ignition on both. I'm thinking of changing to a BR7ES. Trevor (BSA_WM20) indicated th...

Re: B44 Electrics Question
Hi Jeff
I'm running the Boyer electronic ignition.
NGK BR8ES Spark plugs (same as my B50)
I just bought some new BP8ES as per the manual but then they would be for the energy transfer system. I haven't used them yet. Waiting for the new coil.
What plugs would you recommend.

Yes Thanks for that information. I've put electronic ignition on it. Don't know about the cam. The coil that failed was not the original one but a cylinder type one. B44 Electrics Question
First up electronics is not my best point. Some would say I don't have one, but here goes. I've had this 67 B44 round barrel for a number of years and some months ago decided to put some serious miles on it as it's such a fun bike to ride. Originally it ran an energy transfer system. Someone, before...

My 1967 441 is running very well. Except the primary case and engine case are out of true. They do not mate together properly. Replacing gear box main oil seal
Hi gents. My 67 Victor has developed a nice oil river coming from the gear box oil seal I think. Doesn't leak much at rest(overnight) but go for a ride, stop and the oil is pissing out and then stops after a short while. Bike's been parked in the corner of the shed for the last 2 years and have deci...

I purchased this a few months ago. 2014 Commando Sport only had 1600km on the clock. Cost phew a lot and have just put about $800 worth of upgrades to make it better. Go figure. Advance Retard Unit
Hi Guys
Is it ok to run an advance retard unit 5 deg in a B50 SS. I have read on the site that 15 deg was standard for the B50 SS and the 5 deg was for energy transfer systems.
Would there be a downside to running the 5 deg in the standard setup.
Thanks

Mine all have some wobble. Buy one of Marks or EdV's splined shaft and clutch setups. I have invested in this on one B50 SS wow what a difference they make.
