hi jeff not sure the resoldering is a good idea. to put any heat on to the housing may damage the cap because it is filled with liquid (electrolyt) and alu stripes. clamping it slightly will be a beter solution IMO. important : check the uF by mesuring from capcitors led across to engine case. good ...

means to me, - if you had been mesuring capacity of the condensor by holding one wire of the DMM to the engine case and the other to the wire of the condensor, - it would NOT show you any value of uF. a condensor should show around 1.6 uF ore max 3.0 uF. jeff, have a look at your new failed one, - p...

i think this would be much easier to move the gear mechanically . yes, in a way, this would be right. but I do not like much the cables, ( tooo old fashion :oops: ) so I give it a try as fallow : Slave Zyl Layout 1.pdf needs some more detailed drawings, but I think it may work one day.... <216

Hmmmm,

by NOT sealing it as a piston, no, - using a shaft seal for 8 mm for this piston, it is easy to find something...

guess problem solved ( theoretically ) with the SKF Wellendichtring 8 X 18 X 5 HMSA 10 RG ore the 7 X 16 X 7 HMSA 10 RG.

reactor = slave cylinder. :thumb two out of the batch I bought are from pushbikes. both are 12 mm size. the two others are for scooters, they have 17 mm. those scooter ones are by far to huge in size about the handle and the reservoir, otherwise I could use them as masters. now I do surch for a seal...

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.... nearly 45 years ago I was putting a plate under the barrel. instinctively, it was 1.5 mm thick. I just wanted to be able to start my bike witouth a decompressor. ( bump start ) vergot completely to stretch the barrel studs as well as the pushrods. ( sorry - shame on me .. :oops: ) ...

I have read something of it holds 115 ore 120°C. yes, the engine oil out is sometimes by 120°, I don't know the temp of the primary case, but I guess it is deffenitly lower than 100°C.
