Re: My B50SS

Autocycle are/were definitely the bees knees for Brit mudguards. They bought the moulds, patterns, fittings, stock etc from the original main manufacturer when they went bust 40 or so years ago.

They're also pretty good for almost all other spares too.

Re: BSA International Rally 2019

Hi all I ended up lending my BSA Lightning to Marty Sabba of the New York County branch of the BSAOC. Only met him and his wife Annie once, 18 years ago,but we've kept in touch and we're all part of the big BSA family. They arrived in Bristol on Thursday. It became apparent Annie didn't fancy drivin...

Re: Star

Hey beat

Phil Pearson is a renowned guru for Goldies.

He does an electric start too, which seems very popular with the 'mature' riders we all are now! No good for your racing needs of course. You could perhaps persuade him to do B50s commercially based on your design!

Hi All Yes, great time thanks. Two days trail riding in Devon with four old mates. (Victor only finished having a bent mainshaft replaced about 30 minutes before I set off...) I use a Hide-de-hi. Very slim and uses a Rocket 3 filter.

Used for years in return line with no issues whatsoever.

Just googled and found one of my own replies from 2011, so I've used it over 8 years!

Hey Rickard

I live about 70 miles from the site and about 10 miles from Bristol airport...

Could offer you either the infamous BSA Victor IHO IHOSMILE or my 1972 A65 Lightning.

Wasn't intending to go for the week, but was considering just riding out for the occasional day.

Hi TR5

1) In theory, yes. In practice with a unit single, I think you're just moving the vibes up and down the rev range.
2) Yes, with that spec motor you should have enough power to let your skill do the talking.

Hard to tell from the photos, but the outrigger plate doesn't seem to be sitting in any recess at all.
