Not quite Stan . . . .
I had a couple of weeks to spare before I left Colorado and I had this seized up H*nda CL175 that I just couldn't bear to junk, so I rebuilt it. Didn't quite finish it, but here it is.

This from a man who spends weeks re-inventing the carburetor, electronic ignition, and now the electric starter!beat wrote:![]()
it looks for a lot of work-----
I intended this to be a low budget rebuild, but I have to admit that I've spent $1350 so far and about 80 hours of my time (at 10¢ per hour.) I ended up buying a second motor to finish the bike, buying new 1mm oversize pistons and rings, and having to pay for boring, new valve seats, and a valve job. Nothing comes cheap anymore (except maybe my labor.)

Tom, I think the concept of a low budget rebuild is relic of our youth. The $75 B25 is costing way more than I wanted to spend and I stopped counting $$$$s because it was just making me mad at myself. Adults aren't as willing to "half arse" things as we might have been in the past I think.
