P92 at National Motorcycle Museum

Post by SteveS » Sat Jul 04, 2009 5:49 pm

Hi

Paid a quick visit to the NMM today. I've not visited for a while. Last time I was there I did not notice the P92 - maybe it's a new exhibit? Unfortunately, although the museum has a massive range of bikes to see, they are very close together and very difficult to photograph or view in any detail. However I did manage to get a couple of pics.

Interestingly this P92 has a 1 into 2 exhaust system which sort of ties in with some of the detail for the 'Alternative B50' viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2290#p16644

Reference your posts referring to a P92 in the Sammy Miller museum, my understanding is there is only one in existence which is the one in the National Motorcycle Museum, any others therefore must be a replica?

Yours Sincerely

So unless proved otherwise: The P92 at the NMM is the origonal and ONLY prototype. The P92 at Sammy Miller has never claimed to be an origonal, but was built using the best available knowlege at the time (this was before the drawings turned up) as an exercise of what might have been.
