Are the P92 drawing CD's still available?

Post by B25Daytona » Fri Nov 20, 2009 2:47 pm

Hi All,

As a newcomer, I've missed out on the P92 drawing CD's. Does CDB50MX still have any available? What happened to those from SteveS ? Did he manage to get them printed ? If so, where can I get them ?

Like most others, I guess, I fell in love with the P92 at Millers, but only first saw it about 18 months ago. I had (and still have) a C15 pre-65 trials bike and wanted something a little more powerful for road use. Since then, I've been trying to find a reasonable B50. Failing that, in the meatime I bought a B25 with 500 T100 Daytona motor, which I love, but still have a hankering for the "real thing". I'm on the trail of one now, so we'll see.
Any help would be appreciated, as (like all of us) I am a magpie for anything to do with BSA singles.

Cheers,
B25Daytona

C15T (& GSF1250 Bandit, but I won't mention that one !!)

Hi All,

Thanks for being patient with the new guy here.
I've now managed to work out how to pm (hopefully) so should now have my questions answered.
Great site and very helpful forum. Thanks Rickard

Resurrecting an old thread. I just recently discovered the P92.

I was a BSA/Triumph (then Triumph/Norton) dealer in the early 70s, then out of business with them. I never knew of this project, at least that I can recall. But we never paid attention to what reps said anyway as almost none of it ever came true. We particularly tuned them out after waiting for our Furys that were due to "arrive at any time" only to find out that the project had been scrapped.

Last January I made a pilgrimage to the UK to visit a few motorcycle museums. When I saw the BSA P92 at the National Motorcycle Museum I felt overwhelmingly sad. It was such an exciting concept. It's still exciting. I think it'd have been one of those rare machines I could have pitched to customers while looking at them in the eye.

Oh, well. It's all history we all know.

I want to build one. I have an engine on the shelf that could be resurrected. Are the existing drawings complete enough to build the frame & isolastics? I live part of each year in SE Asia where I can get the machining (that I can't do) done at a price I can afford. I can get a tank made cheaply, too.

Thanks folks

Joslire

I also would like to get the p92 drawings and also have an engine and can mod a frame to convert to p92. Machine shop and welding is no issue here in NE PA. Thanks, I am a new guy here.
