Hi All,

I was on here today replying to a PM so thought I'd post to advise that E35SS project still progressing this end and focussing upon smaller but very important jobs such as auto-advance unit which is unique to Bandit/Fury. In addition, regarding the engine pilot build, just sorting some gearbox tolerance issues then on to completing the head which requires some machining of the combustion domes and valve guides/tappet bucket guides machining. So still alive and will post some more pics shortly as well as another vid or 2 on my YT channel.

Rgds,
Angus

Hi Rickard and All,

Just a quick one to advise, as requested, that I've begun to focus back on the E35SS first fit build following a lot of work on the A70. Documenting this on YT playlist below if you're interested.

Happy New Year Rickard and All,

Fury E35SS first fit build completed before Christmas and I'm now beginning the final build. All still being documented on YT as per last link.

I have a stand booked at the Stafford International Show in April to display the collection and am aiming to have the E35SS there in one piece, if not running.

Rgds,
Angus

Hi Everyone,

A couple of pics as previously promised by way of another quick update. Well on the way with the final clean build of the motor. Bottom end and Barrels/Pistons all done and now about to focus upon finishing and fitting the cylinder head. Bit of work to do before Stafford at end of April but all planned with the kind help of Mr Porter.

All work documented on Youtube FYI.

Rgds,
Angus

Hi All,

FYI made some progress since last post but not that visible.

Cylinder head is away at Ward's engineering in Rugby for valve seats and some final machining for valve guides and tappet buckets and this is taking time as a special tool is required which is having to be made.

The tappet buckets themselves are in the process of being manufactured from the original factory drawing and instructions - these are not simple so are taking some time but are progressing.

I have completed the primary drive and fitted the rear engine plate and R/H footrest and rear brake mechanism. Also, the wiring harness is now complete and plumbed in, including the starter solenoid.

The bike will be at Stafford in October, regardless of whatever completion state it's in, together with the rest of my collection, including the A70L which has been the recent focus (and challenge!).

Hope everyone is safe and well.

Rgds,
Angus
