OIF T25T/B25 oil feed from rear of frame?

Post by craigacc » Fri Sep 27, 2019 4:40 pm

Is there a part available that allows oil to be fed to the motor from the rear of the frame on an OIF? Thinking of some sort of 'gland bolt' (wrong word I know) to which an oil feed banjo and pipe can be fitted.

?????

Greetings to all.

https://flowtechnologyuk.com/category/s ... -hose-tail

Frame thread seems to be 1/4 BSP so a 1/4 BSP parallel hose tail will do the job. I've soldered some brass mesh to one to provide a bit of course filtering.

Fitting
This is what it looks like. Will do better job of soldering mesh next time. Mesh as bought was lawyered to stay shiney. Needed some paint stripper and solvent before it would solder.

Got this wrong. Original thread is 3/8 UNF. I drilled and tapped mine 1/4 BSP ages ago and forgot. There is easily enough meat to open it out to this size and it gives a big choice of fittings.
