Nigel Rollason RIP

Post by b50root » Thu Feb 07, 2019 9:03 pm

I have lost my great inspiration and friend Nigel Astbury Rollason. We are heartbroken. Nigel will always be a great memory for us and deeply missed. I was sooo looking forward to this summer when we should meet. Last checkered flag my fiend.

Very sad to hear this, I've just been reading about him and his incredible life and especially the part he played in the history and folklore of these great bikes.

      Nigel's Rollason's Funeral!

Chudleigh Church (of St Martin and St Mary) at Fore st Chudleigh, Devon TQ13 0HZ on Tuesday 26th February 2019 at 11.00am.

All are welcome to the burial service which is directly afterwards. The green burial site in Chudleigh cemetery is a half mile walk, turn right out of Church, right down Clifford st, over Kate Brook bridge at bottom of hill, and continue up Mount Pleasant. The Cemetery is easily visible on LHS after last house.
For Drivers (please share cars as there is not much parking) turn left out of church and follow hearse down Lawn Drive, right at Kate Brook bridge etc. Post code TQ13 0AA

The wake will be from 1.00pm in the upper room of Chudleigh Town Hall at Market Way Chudleigh TQ13 0HL . There is a good sized car park near to the co-op next to the Town Hall.

If you prefer not to go to the burial, there is the Bishop Lacey pub opposite the church, also the Phoenix, The Globe and the Ship Inn are all on the way to the Town Hall. People from the internment may not arrive at the wake until sometime after 1.00 and should go straight to the Town Hall.

Dress code is;– come dressed as Nigel would have known you.

Flowers;– no flowers please, but you may like to give to the collection at the Church for the TT Riders Association, a charity very close to Nigel's heart.

For those who will attend at the funural.

Wish I could do something from the B50 community.

How about a collection via "Just Giving" or something? Are you going Rickard? Do you need picking up? If you fly into LHR I can offer you a place to stay and give you a lift to a train station, but you may be better flying into Exeter..
