Upgraded the space for B50.org from 10 GB to 40 GB. We are now 16 GB big
It´s not that cheap anymore. :???:

Rickard

You are a real gentleman :thumb

I am more than happy to do somthing like pay an annual subscription, I feel you should not be out of pocket.

Along with Stan's and Beat's comments and I am sure others have similar views.

Rich

I have been sent a few pennies donated by the forum members to Rickard, a small thankyou from the forum members who value his stirling work running and maintaining the site. I know a few others have said that they will also chip in, and I will forward this as and when it arrives.

Thankyou all for your generosity, it is testimony to the high regard members of this forum hold for the site's creator that within 12 hours I was able to forward £250 to Rickard.

My life (CCM springs to mind) would not have happened without Rickard and this site. Not only that I would not have met and spoken to so many like minded folk.
So any donation however big or small will go along way to preserving our peace of mind as we get older and need to indulge ourselves in our passion and love of older bikes.
Thankyou Rickard :thumb

It's so easy to take what Rickard has achieved with B50.org for granted. Just Imagine the internet without it, all of us lost B50 souls looking for a home in cyberspace - doesn't bare thinking about!
Also, in a similar vein to Groutys comments, before I found the site I only knew of one other B50 owner ! Without it, the 'B25/B50 incomlete guide' would not have happened, as seeing all the B50's from around the world was the Inspiration. :thumb

Gentlemen, the response to the suggestion that the members might contribute a little something to Rickard for his efforts with the site has been overwhelming. <007

In these austere times, it is not easy to find finances to fund our hobby and it must be realised that the global recession has hit some harder than others. From the e-mails and messages I have received, it is clear that the site provides a wonderful meeting place (forum) for like minded people, and the help and advice given is second to none. Some of the members are going through hard times and while clearly willing, are unable to make a donation and have passed on their best wishes, promising to keep visiting and to keep posting. Others have given according to their means. <906

From my point of view, it is time to pass on the funds to Rickard, and say a big thank you to everyone. <917 <904

I like the idea of taking money off you guys, but I think a spontaneous gesture needs to have an end point (something I never thought about at the beginning), so let’s call it a day. If you would like to give Rickard a couple of quid then I’m sure he would appreciate it, but if you give any more to me, I’m going down the pub. <922

Gerry Is this still going on? If it was around US$220 back in 2012 what is it now?
I don't post much but without this forum I know that I would be unable to keep my 2 B50ss's and 1 B44 on the road and that's a fact.
I have slowly been going back through the old posts and it is unbelievable the wealth of information that is on the site.
But have noticed that the old posts end late 2011. What happened to the rest? Could it be the storage costs?
I have just noticed that the oldest post that I can access coincides with my date of membership.

Back to my question. Are we still taking donations, and if so how dose one contribute?
I'm always up for a shout or two down the rub a dub dub. (pub, bar, tavern, watering hole etc)

This matter of support to our leader certainly gets forgotten by me. How about this thread being brought to our attention annually? I'd not be embarrassed by that and, here and now, want to say thank you in the way we all should.

So, Gerry, to you or?

Paul.
