B50s in April Classic Bike

Post by bacigalupo » Mon Jun 19, 2017 12:55 am

You are all likely to have seen this already! Anyway, April is the current month of Classic Bike for us here in Australia. I picked it up on the weekend, and there is a great 8 page article on BSA B50, including rides of a B50T, a TR5MX and the P92 prototype. The photos are especially good.

Yes great pictures of 'our' bikes in this feature. I have a connection with this in a small way, as I did all the engine work on the b50t for tony howard. the bike is not my idea of how a b50t should look, but we are all different and its a well presented machine.

You're too modest Midgie! 'all the engine work' is more than just 'a small way'

Cheers

I just noticed the handlebars on the P92 are rubber mounted with Triumph or late BSA A65/70 forks. Maybe the isolastic engine mounts were an overkill. Interesting comments on comparing the variations though. Wasn't the TR50MX also released fitted with lights or was that a TR50T? Pity they didn't have the B50SS to compare and cover the range.

Only ever seen a couple of TR50s and I thought they came also with lights? This one must have been a special.

This one never left the factory like that, but maybe the owner wants it that way.
