EBAY can be a strange old place?

Post by bonnietiler » Tue Nov 07, 2017 4:23 pm

EBAY...I remember when it started...I really do,it was almost exciting..in that you never knew quite what you were going to get!
I recall buying a pair of Motorcycle gloves..Dainese they were...I paid around half price from them...when they arrived they were "almost" perfect in that they were the correct size and model...just one little, almost negligible problem hardly worth mentioning, a niggle perhaps.. They were different colours...One black and one Grey one...I got in touch he wasn't interested, he said that he didn't show a photo of them both only the black one and you got that so it was fine..eh???
I still wear them..
I sell decals on ebay from time to time and I just sold a "Triumph Machine of the Year" decal for £2.99, it costs me £1.50 to have them made so I'm not getting rich..I charge £1.25 postage within the UK. Sturdy envelope. card stiffener clear cover for the decal and a 1st class stamp at 70p or so.
just had a buyer complain that the P+P is very high...
Why do I bother/

Why not sell them for £4.50 free post, but I'm thinking "Triumph"? "Machine of the year"? What year was that then, 1902? You wouldn't have that problem with BSA enthusiasts, they are a better breed! :ban

In Germany we say
BSA Bauen Schrauben Anschieben

(Rebuilding, Repairing; Pushstarting)

so BSA freaks will never complain cause they are used to spend time and money.. :laugh :laugh :laugh :laugh :laugh

Once a Triumph dealer told me that this brand is known for its quality and ....

I must say I never had one, but I know that at least two of them were BSAish (TR% ..) :laugh :laugh :laugh
