Obviously it remains to be seen if anything emerges from this recent news report but it looks like a new BSA design facility is going ahead here in the UK to be followed by a manufacturing/assembly plant also in the UK. I for one would certainly be interested in a UK based revitalised BSA and if the report below is to be believed then it may well happen, although the timeline to be in production by next year is completely ridiculous, unless a lot of design and development work has already been completed.

Didn't I recently read that the present owner of the BSA name is planning a BSA-badged electric bike?

That BBC article confirms that the "new" BSA will be electric, other than a few initial 2021 bikes.
