Hi Steve, I like your idea of a heat shield inspired by the B50's. How about an exhaust heat shield that resemble something like this: NYCN exh.PNG I know it's a 2 into 1 but it might give you an idea of what it could look like. I tend to agree with Glen on the headlight, - but I'm a traditionalist....

It's not a Mikuni that Michael fits to his trial bike but an OKO which is a chinese copy of a Keihin PWK. Not a bad carburetor but jets, needles etc. are not shared with the Mikuni.

I measured the dimensions on my b50 frame with the rear mudguard installed and they are within a couple of mm's from the ones in your table so I will go with that regardless if I fabricate a support rail myself or buy one.
