one way valve

Post by HPbyStan »

Tried to buy a late '70s- early '80s 351 Ford Bronco AIR valve today. All the part numbers for Ford and after market Air Injection Recirculation valves seem to be discontinued. I have a "Standard" brand coming tomorrow that might work but I don't think it's what I want. Must be when a vehicle gets that old "they" no longer care how much emissions it spews out.

The box says "Made in Taiwan" so maybe one could inquire directly and get a lot better price without needing to buy 27 gross of them,,,,,,, dunno

That is what the picture was of the one I bought the other day and why I didn't think I was going to like it BUT it turned out to be exactly what I was after.

I've been using a power check valve recommended to me by Ed V: DORMAN 80189 see http://www.rockauto.co.uk/catalog/morei ... ?pk=598444 .

I brought a few back from the US if you want to give one a try. Let me know.

Is this a similar thing Stan? or is it best to use the early ford ones.

Don't mean to be a pain but there are hundreds of them on ebay most of them with several tubes sticking out. Are there any make or model that have been tried and tested, i bought some of the xs650 reed ones fitted about 14" from the case but they get gummed up fairly quick. Perhaps some sort of oil screen would help.
