the last race of this season was hold last weekend.
PHOTO-2021-10-26-20-42-22 Kopie.jpeg
Goldie was going well and we reached place 10 of 13 competitors. six of them where vintage bikes, 7 of them where new modern bikes.
no upside down positions, - so we are very happy.

Well done Beat!

Tell me, the Swiss regulations for road vehicles are very strict, I understand that the exhaust emissions from Swiss road vehicles has to be pure oxygen with the only permitted pollutant permitted is a faint waft of Channel No. 5, and the noise from the engine must be at a level so as not to drown the sound of an indigenous mountain moth fart on the quietest night of the year. So how on earth are you permitted to build such a machine and thrash it round a track?
There is no evidence to support the notion that life is serious.

we are NOT permitted to build and it needs a good connection to the local police station to thrash around a track :!:
( this is the secret of it.... )

Lorenz find out WHY the Goldie was just running for about ONE MINUTE on this Morning !

it is the type of Batterie we are using

the SHIDO LI/FE accumulator is not made to cop with Temperatures below + 10° C :!:

you got it right : plus ten degrees Celsius :!: :!:

this is why it was going perfectly in the afternoon with the same setup .

the week after in Schwarzenburg, we used a ordenary led accu in the cold morning hours ( + 4° C ) and it vent well.
in the afternoon, again used the LI/FE Batterie and it was ok.

beat still learning....

Beat , i know from modern Enduros that these LiFePo batteries need to be " wakened up " under cold conditions.
That means they push the kill button, press the start button ( these bikes have electric start ) and let the engine rotate two or three times.
Then wait 5 to 10 seconds.
After that the Battery has his full power for the real start .

But the strange thing is that his problem occured at temparatures below zero, not below 10°

thanks oli, --- but I do not trust this batteries anymore since this mishap,-- lower than + 10° C.
so I will try to go a other route, - not on this bike, no, I will do it on the 680er first.....

something on soon....
