PPG Deltron paint cross for Flamboyant Red?

Post by B50ForumUser »

Hi All,

My painter (rural bit of Florida) says he has two options - one is to source paint in Flamboyant Red from RS Bike in the UK, or, find a suitable match using PPG Deltron system paints. He far prefers the PPG as he is proficient in their use.

Given this will NOT be a show bike, can anyone provide any ideas on how to get close to Flamboyant Red using the PPG Deltron?

I'll post this in my Return to Flight thread, as well.

I really need to get past this with the painter - I don't have an option for getting this done locally.

Thanks!

Status - found Don Hutchinson through a reference in britbike ...

Good conversation - knows his stuff - has worked codes with Dupont, and can supply smaller quantities as needed for the complete job.

Told my painter about him - he says "of yeah - I know him - I had completely forgotten."

Putting the two of them together ... https://hutchinsoncycle.com
