BURTON BIKE BITS TR25W SEAT

Post by BALMAYER »

Hello,

I emailed Burton Bike Bits.

I had ordered a seat for my 250 Triumph.

"Dual-Seat Gold Triumph logo, ribbed top, chrome trim Pressed Steel Base, beware of cheap fabricated versions which are not correct Suitable for Triumph TR25W Trophy 250 1968-70 Triumph Part Number 82-9472 MADE IN ENGLAND"

See screenshot of your website Picture “Ordered” 1 and 2.

I am very disappointed to have received this see pictures “Received” 1 and 2.

As it is not the same quality of manufacture, I asked to Burton Bike Bits if the model presented on their website is available and if an exchange is possible.

Ride Safe.

Thanks to Danny Page for his proposal

I will mount the seat sent while I have the original seat restored by a saddler.

Hello Jean ,

It seems that your TR25 has a main stand ....Is it a 70 model ? I still have a standard frame for a 70 model (left side silencer) and no provision for main stand exists on it .

My 69 B44 Shooting Star with side stand has the bracket for the left side hi level silencer on the frame as do the 69 B25 Starfire frames I have seen. The TR25W seems to have sometimes used the B44SS frame without side stand provision and not at other times.

Note this 1969 US B25

Some TR25W bikes had the center stands, but only 1970 in my experience, never seen one on an earlier bike. I've not kept track of the numbers on the ones I've owned or seen, so no idea if there was a batch of them done together, or it was just hit and miss?
