New B44 Sliding gear 41-3069 - where to get one?

Post by KiwiB44 »

Hi, I actually need the gears either side of the sliding gear as well (41-3087 and 41-3070) as they are also worn and would only ruin a new 41-3069 if I fitted one. I can get these 2 gears from Draganfly but not 41-3069.

I have a collection of worn gears resulting from efforts to find a good used one so I have given up on that :uhu <204 <051 but on the plus side I have been able to make up a dummy box with these parts and fix the 1st and 4th gear selection issues. I now just have a jumping out of 2nd gear issue which is due to the dogs being worn.

https://pesltd.uk/?product=57-3877 will be the next BSA gear I make.
The others will be shortly after.
Because the heat treatment shut down for a week they should be ready throughout January.

New parts about to be installed in the B44, including the new PES sliding gear (centre), and NOS (I hope) gears, lets hope this fixes the jumping out of gear issue this bike has always had since I bought it almost 3 years ago now. In future I intend to fit PES gears throughout but they were not quite ready when my hol. to uk finished.

I also bought a chrome passenger grab rail from Burtons for 50 quid whilst in uk, much to my surprise it fitted after only having to file one hole oval a few mm, and bend one “tab” over a bit, It looks very smart.
